Brisbane's Best Golfing Experience!

Senior Ladies

McLeod Senior Ladies would like to invite you to come and join your peers in playing the wonderful game of golf each Monday in a friendly supportive environment. Senior Ladies are anyone over the age of 50 with a current GA handicap. We have in excess of 181 members and consistently attract a field of around 80 players each week, but it can be as high as 120. Our competitions run from mid January to the end of November.

Eligibility for membership to Senior Ladies is financial membership of McLeod Country Golf Club and aged over 50 with a current WGA handicap. The age range of the club is 50 to over 90, with golf handicaps spanning from 4 – 45, so everyone is included. We welcome new golfers and Gateway members. The annual membership fee is just $10 and this can be paid with the Starter before your first game.

The purpose of the Club is to uphold the tradition, etiquette, sportsmanship and companionship of the game. It is indeed a wonderful club of women golfers who share the joys and frustration of golf, build exceptional friendships and give support that extends beyond the golf course.

Although we all enjoy playing great golf, at Senior Ladies we understand that this is not possible every game but we reward the effort with a ball run-down that extends to 40% of the field.

We were very fortunate to share our Christmas party with our Patron, Daphne Pirie.
Daphne was a nationally ranked Australian athlete, hockey player, golfer and is currently a sports administrator and world-ranked Masters Athlete, winning eight gold medals in International competitions.  In 1989 Daphne was awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire for services to Hockey.
How blessed are we to have Daphne as our Patron.
