MCLEOD EVERYDAY HERO HONOURS

The ‘Everyday Hero’ Honours list is a Jubilee year initiative that asks the membership of the Club to reflect and consider recognising the men and women who have, for whatever reason, made a valuable contribution to McLeod, our ‘Everyday Hero’s’. Without the foresight of our founding members we would not be the organisation we are today. However, without the continued support, help and dedication of our Boards, management, staff, volunteers and members over the past 50 years, this dream could not have become and remain a reality. A shared vision, a selfless act, a wish and desire for the future of the Club has underpinned the charter and vision that is McLeod. Without each volunteer’s contribution in one way or another, the Club would not be the organisation it is today.

HOW TO NOMINATE

Induction into the “Everyday Hero Honours” will be by a nomination process through a 200-500 word written nomination, supported by 2 referees and judged by a selection panel comprising both members and other stakeholders. The nomination will remain confidential and be announced on Anniversary Day each year. The Board sees this award as a time to reflect on the many individuals, groups and supporters who have worked tirelessly to ensure the success of our Club. Whilst every individual in some way has contributed to the Club there are some special people within the group who have made a significant contribution over many years and we recognised six of them in the Jubilee Year and will recognise a further two each year moving forward.
